Evil death metal absolutely inspired by the earliest instances of the style. Horripilant’s first EP really reminds of Possessed, Sadistic Intent, first Sepultura and Morbid Angel... These Valencians know very well what they are doing, moving between the 80s and early 90s, but not beyond. Good choice, dudes!!
“Melancholie der Engel” is like being thrown into an abyss of revelatory ascent, like being cruelly abandoned on a stage of immense universal solitude. Fuck yes, Shamael’s first album is like a long, feverish nightmare from which you cannot wake up. This fascinating one-man band invokes a devastating, and atmospheric, funeral doom on a par with the best names of the style.
The prolific duo exhibits a new identity while traversing death doom territories that will be very recognizable to any of their followers. On their seventh work, Graveyard Of Souls continue their philosophical journey between melodic and skillfully ornamented songs, being able to convey as much light as darkness to anyone who approaches their dilated sonic canvases. An old school album for old school fans, absolutely recommended if you love Paradise Lost, Tiamat, Crematory, or Alastis.
Excellent second album by the Irish band. They take elements form black, death, doom, and their traditional music to portray a wide variety of atmospheres and moods. Guttural growls are used in contrast with harmonious choral sections and ‘sean-nós’ vocals. Irish melodies and time signatures are incorporated with aggressive metallic and progressive elements. This distinctive approach to metal music coupled with lyrics sung entirely in Gaelige truly makes Corr Mhóna a one of a kind band.
Barcelona’s doom sludge has its masters: Tort. On their third album they continue the lysergic slowness, with the long songs that seem like psychopharmaceuticals. Freaks of all things unconventional, their command of the style is undeniable. And if they leave you hanging on some tracks, who cares: that’s savoir-faire, folks.

“Dölmenn” is the second, heavyweight, and super brute album by Cabeza De Caballo. Heavy rock and stoner doom made by cavemen who occasionally get high and even blast-beat. Instead of instruments, they use bones. Dear paleontologists, the missing link of humanity is in Granada.

It’s a pity that Cuerno split up shortly after releasing this first album. With members of Lords Of Bukkake, Simón Del Desierto, Morbid Flesh, La Matanza, or Tort, the Barcelona band coat these songs here at a snail’s pace with a mantle of sadness and melancholy, sometimes in a more classical way and sometimes travelling to other planets in a joint-fueled astral trip. Doom and sludge that doesn’t try to choke you, with contemplative lapses, and with Michel in God mode on drums.
“Death Fanaticism”… Just the title is enough to get us excited. A psychotic, brutal, cosmic, and dissonant expression of black metal uniquely designed to take you six feet under. This is your demise!
Gatefold LP + poster. Limited to 500 copies.
Rock’n’roll, heavy metal, speed, and ethylic punk, all in one, just for miscarried sheep. You’ve got nothing to do with your family, your damn grey job, and you’re sick of living? Well, get drunk to the rhythm of these animals from Vienna! Fourth album and the same cheek. You rascals!
Limited to 300 copies. Poster + digital download.
First and so far only album by the black metal band Eld. If all you want in your life is a return to the glory days of the great Norwegian wave, this album is for you. No nonsense: just the anti-Christian noise you crave.
Reissue of Chronic Decay’s first EP, released back in 1990. Anything else to add? Cut the crap: you know you need this old school shit. The cover is the truest of the trues, just like the fuckin’ content. Sweden rules!!
Grand Supreme Blood Court, Bunkur, Legion Of The Damned... Tremendous curriculum by these gentlemen, and that’s without forgetting their consanguinity with Asphyx for some years. Every fan must have this material, because Soulburn don’t fail. Among the royalty of the Netherlands.
Excellent and posthumous sixth album by Mistweaver. The melodic death of the band from Burgos is a filigree, and it is not surprising that this work garnered great reviews from the media. Melodeath can break asses and Mistweaver knew it well. Highly recommended.
From the cover itself, an abominable work of uncompromising brutal death. We love this album! It crushes you, mistreats you, shakes you, makes you feel like real scum. Lethal and underground sound, no fucking unreal super productions!! A butchery from start to finish.
12" black vinyl.
After a demo aptly titled “Proletarian Death Metal”, Madrid’s Oxicorte released their first EP in 2020. Death metal, and then more fucking death metal. Yes, this is death metal. A logo like Entombed’s? Well, yeah, we’re talking about fuckin’ death metal. Death metal, guys.
